hjbiopicsm.jpgWe are proud to welcome Hunter Jackson to our intern staff!

Hunter is a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, class of2003. He is currently a junior at Auburn University Montgomery majoring in English. He will graduate from AUM in May 2009. 

Hunter currently works as a computer lab assistant for the AUM Information Technology Services. He was a Baptist Campus Ministries leadership team member from fall 2004 to spring 2007. 


He published an article entitled "Media Brainwashed the Teens"  which appeared in the March 10, 2004 issue of the Aumnibus, AUM's student newspaper. In 2006, his short story exerpt called "The Titan 3 Incident" was published in the Filibuster, AUM's literary magazine.  He went on to serve as editor of the Filibuster in 2007. His poem "Escape" was recently published in the 2008 issue of the Filibuster.  

In May of 2004, he participated in a weekend civic leader training program called Leadership Plenty. He spent the weekend at South Mississippi University with a few students from the AUM American Humanics organization honing skills as a civic leader.

Hunter attends Landmark Church of Christ. He has been involved with the Landmark Campus Ministry, Landmark’s college ministry, for four years. He will be co-leading a Bible study group for his college ministry during summer 2008. 

After graduating from AUM with a bachelor's degree in English, he plans to seek a career in writing. One of his personal goals is to learn all he can about Christian philosophy and Christian Apologetics in order to be able to be a stronger witness to those around him. He also plans to write fiction and non-fiction pieces for publication.

We are proud to welcome Hunter to the staff and we look forward to his contibutions to OLM.
